It is necessary to periodically unplug the connector at the low coolant probe and inspect for coolant contamination on the affected vehicles.
2008 emission CAT engines will not start a regeneration cycle
All buses equipped with a 2008 emission CAT engine
If the engine is unable to complete an automatic regeneration cycle of the DPF, it may result in the fouling of the spark plug located down stream on the exhaust side of the turbo. If this occurs, the engine will no longer be able to do an automatic or manual regeneration causing the check engine light to illuminate and putting the engine into de-rate mode
The spark plug will need to be removed and cleaned or replaced as needed, and a manual regeneration of the DPF will need to be completed
